Volunteers
Icon is run entirely by volunteers, and we are always in need of helping hands, both at the con and in the months of preparation before.
On Thursday evening, we start hauling things from the storage locker and getting setup at the hotel. On Sunday afternoon, we reverse the process and get everything packed up.
In between, we need people to help in the following areas:
Art Show / Auction
Consuite
Dealer’s Room
Game Library
Masquerade
Registration
Volunteer Table

Thursday, October 27: Volunteers Needed for Storage Locker and Setup!
We will be meeting at the storage locker at 3:30 pm on Thursday, October 27, to load the truck and start setting up at the hotel. People needing a ride can meet in the hotel lobby at 3:00 and ride down to the locker.
We will need people to load the art flats, consuite appliances and many miscellaneous boxes. We will have a nice U-Haul truck with a ramp.
The locker is at Quality Care Storage, 761 Camp Cardinal Blvd, Coralville. (Camp Cardinal Blvd. is on the edge of town, off Highway 6. It’s opposite 22nd Ave.) Go past the main office to James Street and turn left. Look for the sign that says, “Quality Care Storage Entrance 2″ and come up to the wrought-iron gate. Call Brian (641-426-8031) and someone will come punch in the code at the gate to let you in.
