Patrons - The price of your art purchases will be subject to a 6% Iowa sales tax in addition to what is bid.
Artists - If you, as an artist, would like to attend ICON and participate in panels or demos, then please send us email and we’ll make sure you are included in the schedule. Also let us know if you want to appear on our Other authors and artists page with a link to your e-mail or website.
The ICON Art show accepts both mail-in and walk-in art. We are happy to display your original work as well as prints.
ICON is a science fiction and fantasy related convention, and we ask that you submit only artwork appropriate to such genres. ICON reserves the right to not display any work deemed inappropriate by the art show manager.
We will also hold a benefit auction with proceeds going to a local cause. If you would like to donate items for that, please feel free!
The ICON Art Show does charge a small hanging fee for each piece in the Art show. Those fees are:
* At the door Hanging fee: $0.50 per piece
* Mail in Hanging Fee: $1.00 per piece
* Not for Sale Hanging Fee: $1.00 per piece
Additionally, a commission of 10% is charged.
The Print Shop has no hanging fees, instead a commision of 15% is charged.

The Mindbridge Art Show policy for Icon 32
"In the interests of protecting the intellectual property rights of all artists, all items must be entirely the work of the individual displaying the piece to be eligible for sale or auction. Items for sale may not included copy protected or trademarked material, unless the artist can produce written permission from the individual or corporate holder of the intellectual property rights. Pieces portraying copy protected or trademarked material are eligible for display only. This rule applies to all art show art as well as art available for sale in the print shop."
