From Book to Movie – 4pm

 Join Joe Haldeman as he takes us through his experience with movie adaptations of literature.  Thrill at his involvement in the process as an author and his experience as a screenwriter for “Robot Jox,” shudder at the complications that gum up the works, and hear some of his thoughts on the movie biz in general. 

Steampunk!  What is it?  - 5pm

Never been to a convention before?  Don't know anyone here?  Learn the basics of con-going.  Make yourself some friends for the weekend, or even longer.  Our beloved Toastmaster Rusty Hevelin and his lovely sidekick, Gay Haldeman, will instruct the uninitiated in the arcane art of science fiction / fantasy fandom.
