Icon is run entirely by volunteers, and we could use your help!
From setting up on Thursday to tearing down on Sunday, and everything
that happens in between, we need volunteers!
We will need help at our Penn Street Mini Storage area Thursday afternoon about 4 PM. (22 October) It is about 1 mile east of the North Liberty exit (Exit 4) from I-380, and about 1/3 mile east of 965 and Penn Street.
Next between 5 and 7 PM Thursday, unloading at the hotel in the Exhibit Hall/Convention Center.
Friday at 9 AM, set-up starts in earnest setting up the art show, freebie table, volunteer prize table, registration desk, etc.
Jobs we need help with:
- Hauling our gear and supplies from the storage locker on Thursday night and setting it up at the hotel.
- Registration desk.
- Volunteer table.
- Con Suite.
- Gaming room.
- Masquerade Aid Station.
- Dealer's Room.
- Art Show.
- Tear down and clean up afterwards. Hauling our gear and supplies to the storage locker on Sunday night
Volunteers have the opportunity to earn prizes, including a membership for the next year's ICON (for only 20 volunteer hours).
